BEST THEME PARKS     

It all began with Disneyland back in 1955 and has truly grown to be one the Happiest Places on Earth. But did you know that there are 5 other Major Theme Parks all within an hour and a half of Disneyland? A perfect family vacation spot for tourists, or locals. Endless amounts of rides, games, and fun to be had in California’s theme parks.  Don’t’ miss out on meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

IN-N-OUT BURGER

In N Out is a true California Experience. This fast food chain primarily found on the West Coast is better than McDonalds or Cookout for any East Coast foodies reading this. This isn’t your normal fast food restaurant. Everything is fresh, nothing is frozen and made to order. People love the Double Double and can make it their way, with ordering off the “secret” menu. Eating here is an experience you will never forget, but make sure to bring some napkins, as there’s no clean way to eat this!

ROAD TRIPS, HIKING AND CAMPING  

Beautiful views abound in this state. There is such a diverse climate from North to South. You have snow and sand in the same state. Life is good. You can be on the beach one day, and skiing in the mountains the next. For those who prefer a dryer climate visit Joshua Tree, Death Valley or play a round of golf in Palm Springs.  For those who prefer cooler temperatures, take a walk through the John Muir woods up in the Bay Area and marvel at the towering Redwoods.  Whichever direction you choose, you won’t be disappointed.

Take your family to learn how to surf as well as have a relaxed day on the beach. While it can get hot during the day, it can definitely get cold at night with the breeze coming in off the water. YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Approximately 1,200 miles of beauty located within the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. Yosemite is home to three of the world’s ten tallest waterfalls and the largest single pieced of exposed granite. Hiking in the park is very popular and is one of top rock-climbing destinations. While you are here you can also find restaurants and hotels to stay nearby for travelers to take in this breath-taking setting.

SANTA MONICA PIER  

A perfect way to visit the pier is on wheels! Rent a bike, rollerblades, or skateboard and cruise past some of the local’s favorite shops to hit this 100-year old landmark. This is one of the largest piers in the USA and it’s fun for everyone. You can find a Ferris wheel, games, street adventures such as – live music, restaurants, bars and gift shops.  Don’t forget a camera, the sunsets are unforgettable.

THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

One of the most recognizable landmarks in the United States. Every year, this bridge is photographed countless times by people all around the world. This iconic red bridge links San Francisco to Sausalito and the North Bay, and even through the heaviest of fogs, it’s red supports are still visible. SAN DIEGO

While you are in San Diego, make sure to visit tourist destinations like Seaport Village, a quaint little village on the water that boasts quirky shops, fantastic food, and a variety of street performers daily. Take in a ball game at the nearby Petco Park, and then meander over to the Gaslamp District for food and drinks. There is a ton of options to choose from for nightly entertainment here! Being so close to the Naval base, visitors can tour docked Naval ships and Submarines, or even enjoy a cruise on the water. For people looking to experience some of California’s history, you can visit any of the original 21 missions that are located along the Coast of California. These are great landmarks to visit and a huge part of California’s history.
